What type of customizations are we talking about? Just about anything that we can do for you, we will! Though we offer a complete selection of clubs in styles to match nearly every golfer, we are also willing to assemble any component clubs for you, to your specifications. We will be happy to provide quotes for assembly of these components, just ask!

Examples of common customizations include:

Grip Changes

For each club we build, we list a grip style we normally supply with the club description. This is often a Golf Pride Tour Wrap grip, as it is a very popular and widely used grip. This grip will also be installed in a Standard size grip - Mens or Womens - based on the club you order. If this is not the grip you prefer, or not the size grip that fits you, we will be happy to replace the grip with the one you prefer. For some grips there may be a surcharge, but for most, there will be no additional cost to you.

Shaft Changes

Many different options exist for shafts today. While we try to provide a quality shaft that matches the head on every club we sell, we don't always find the right combination for every golfer. You may request a new shaft, a different shaft stiffness, or simply a different length than what we normally offer. We will build the clubs to your specifications as long as we can do so, and not affect the safety of the club itself.

One thing to note about shaft stiffness. There are no specifications that fit all shafts when it comes to stiffness. Many shafts offer flexes in some combination of L, A, S, R and X flexes, but they are only a relative rating within one particular shaft style, and often do not reflect the same stiffness from one shaft to another for the same manufacturer. Regular flex shafts are designed to fit the average male golfer, while A or L are generally designed to fit the average female golfer. It is our experience that most golfers play a shaft that is too stiff for them. You should always play the softest shaft flex that you can control for greatest repeatability, distance and accuracy.

Length Adjustments

Height and Wrist to Floor are best measured with your golf shoes OFF, on a hard floor. Measure both wrists from the palm/wrist crease and average the two readings to make sure you are not standing crooked...

To specify a customization with your order, please use the Special Instructions section in the checkout pages of the shopping cart. These instructions will be included with your order, and one of our clubmakers will respond to you with any questions or comments that we may have as a result of your instructions.

If we don't have the specific item in stock to support your customization, we will inform you of this and place the order from one of our suppliers. We stock a large number of items that are generally requested for customizations, however as you can imagine, we cannot stock them all! If there is going to be a surcharge for your customization, we will let you know before we order the parts, and let you decide if you still want the customization performed.

Every effort will be made to meet your customization request as quickly as possible, and to get your clubs on their way as soon as we can, so that you can start to enjoy them on the course!
